Here at Cotswold we appreciate how important your mare and her offspring are to you, and we aim to give you the best start possible  to  this new life's journey. In order to achieve this we tailor make your mares stay around your individual  requirements as owners. Unlike many foaling services we are able to offer you full stabled keep for the duration of your mares stay , coupled with plenty of turn out. This also means that your mare and her offspring will be kept and cared for with the same high standards that you would provide if remaining at home. Alternatively if grass is all that you require then this is also available or a mixture of the two can also be organised i.e outside before foaling and inside afterwards. This service aims to ensure the best possible results for your mare and foal during thier stay.

 Although part of a top Arabian show stud, we are well versed with sport horses and show ponies, having spent former years showing and competing. Coupled with over 10 years experience of breeding and foaling, we have the knowledge and ability to manage maiden mares , difficult to foal mares as well those who have foaled previously.

We provide the highest standard of care, with on site 24 hour supervision and immediate access to veterinary support if required.

All owners are treated as part of our family during this  time and are encouraged to call or visit as often as they wish during their mares' stay and may even be on site for the birth if this is their wish.

All foals are handled from birth in order to make life easier for all on their return home, and we can offer to manage the weaning process later in life where required.

We are able to take mares at short notice, but advanced booking is preferable and the mares ideally should arrive around 3 weeks before a due date, and can remain for as long as  you wish. They should also have clear cem swabs and eva blood tests, with current flu and tet vaccinations before arriving at the stud.

We are also able to offer a transport service within a 2 -3 hour journey and can collect and/ or return your mare ideal if you do not have these facillities yourself.
